The Xcel program has been developed by USA Gymnastics for girls who are only able practice a maximum three days a week.
The purpose of the Xcel Program is to present gymnasts the opportunity to participate in competition and/or provide former Junior Olympic competitive gymnasts the opportunity to continue competition without the intense time commitment.
The goal of the Xcel Program is to challenge each and every athlete’s limits and abilities by providing enjoyable, yet challenging practices and competitions. The Xcel program also allows for gymnasts who are exceeding (or progressing faster) in some areas such as Floor and Beam to continue to progress at this excelled pace, and be challenged in these events, but at the same time continue to work in the other events. This allows the gymnast not to become “board” or find themselves in a situation that they are not prepared for or “over their head”.
Xcel levels are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Xcel gymnasts compete optional routines on all four events.
The Xcel program fits very well with athletes who compete in High School gymnastics.
Boys Competitive Team
Competitive Boys Team Program is a progressive developmental program designed for every ability level. Boys learn specific skills on each of the individual apparatus floor, pommel horse/mushroom, rings, vault, parallel bars, high bar, and trampoline.
The Home Team is a program in which any student enrolled in one of our Intermediate or Advanced classes may choose to participate in this program. Gymnasts participating in the Home Team program will learn routines on each of the four events. Gymnasts will perform these routines in two mock meets, hosted in our gym. Gymnasts will enjoy an awards ceremony at the end of each meet, where each gymnast will receive award. Home Team is a great place for gymnasts who want to get a feel for competitive gymnastics.
